Oxygen Cylinders for Aviation Cabin Safety

Composite oxygen cylinders for airline cabin safety

Reducing weight with aviation emergency oxygen cylinders

In the air, every gram of additional weight means additional operating costs – and AMS aviation emergency oxygen cylinders are designed to help airlines cut vital kilograms.

AMS carbon composite cabin oxygen cylinders are some of the lightest available on the market today – offering weight savings of up to 50% or more when compared to traditional aluminium and steel cylinders.

They can also be filled to higher pressures (up to 300 bar). This means cylinders can be made smaller in size, freeing up valuable space inside the cabin.

For major airlines running large aircraft, each with dozens of cylinders on board, making the switch to carbon composite provides a significant weight and space saving across the fleet.

Lightweight cabin air cylinders from AMS

AMS emergency oxygen cylinders are certified for aviation use worldwide – in line with ISO 11119-2, UN-TPED Pi, DOT (USA), CS25 and TC (Canada) global standards and accreditations.

They can be produced in custom sizes to suit the configuration and cabin layout of a full range of passenger and commercial aircraft, from all manufacturers.

Our carbon composite cabin air cylinders are extremely durable – offering excellent flame and impact resistance. They are made to stand up to the regular movement and buffeting around in overhead lockers during flight.

They are NLL (Non-Limited Life) rated – they can be used indefinitely (subject to passing periodic testing), and each cylinder should outlast the working lifespan of the aircraft.
